Nowadays, the majority of internet searches Internet are done via Google. Its market share is higher than 80% in many countries. Who are the main rivals today? What alternatives are there to Google if you need to look up details through the Internet. We will look at the strengths and limitations of two different search engines. Google this for an example.
Microsoft's Bing Search Engine
Microsoft's Bing is possibly the most popular alternative to Google. From a visual standpoint the two search engines are very much alike. Their search engine results provide details on every result (a title and an explanation) in addition to the link to the results itself. Certain searches also include a panel with details and facts on the right side of the navigation pane. Bing also has vertical search engines for specific content types, including images, videos, and news. They can be found in separate pages or on the main search engine results page. Google has been accused of showing YouTube videos in the results of videos searches. However, this has not been a problem with Bing. Bing is, like Google, analyses user behaviour. It keeps track of the queries of users along with the results that they clicked. This lets Bing, to directly serve personalized advertising within its search result pages. Bing is also able to serve personalized ads within its Windows operating system.
Duckduckgo Search Engine
The DuckDuckGo search engine is an alternative alternative to Google. It handles your search for the user when you perform a search. DuckDuckGo receives Bing's results and then displays them in your browser. You won't come in directly with Bing when you use this search engine. This means that personal data such as your IP address or even location remains hidden to Bing. DuckDuckDuckGo also places advertisements between results of searches. However, the company is unable to serve personalized advertising because it doesn't gather information about users. If you type in "holidays" and it will only return advertisements based on the word or phrase you typed in. Because it decided not, it will not be able to utilize the information it already has about you. Bing and Google are, in our opinion, very alike. It's up to your individual preference which you prefer. DuckDuckGo is user-friendly and anonymous.
